The hotel's history as the Fabulous Thunderbird dates back to 1948 when it opened as the fourth major resort on the Las Vegas strip. The hotel honor roll includes George Burns, Jack Benny, Bob Hope, Tony Martin, May West and many many more. The showroom hosted lavish Broadway musicals and such revues as Ziegfeld's Follies.

On the property is the famous Thunderbird Lounge that has just reopened. The restaurant and banquet hall will be open soon to offer complete services for wedding receptions, banquets and meetings.
